Following COP 26 & 27 conferences, national and corporate targets to achieve a net zero society have been enshrined in legislation and corporate strategy.
Additional regulation is making its way through congress to implement the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Super-Emitter Response Program, which is focused specifically on methane emissions.
The program will require comprehensive compliance to dramatically tighten limits and levy punitive fines for violators, putting more pressure on asset owners to quickly fix any problems.
